Elin McCoy speaks to Edouard Miailhe of Château Siran

Elin McCoy

Edouard Miailhe is the 6th generation of his family to be at the head of AOC Margaux's Château Siran. His grandfather owned Château Pichon Lalande, Château Palmer and Château Siran, but in the 1970s, when the assets were split up between family members, the wine estates were not of the value they are today, and his father inherited Siran while his aunt, May-Eliane de Lencquesaing, inherited Pichon Lalande. Here he speaks to Elin McCoy about his life in wine, and his plans for Siran - a château that is fast becoming one of the cult names of Bordeaux
