The Connoisseur Week in June 2022 will be the first edition of an annual week that we intend to make the most sought-after and talked about wine experience in Bordeaux.
This experience is being offered exclusively to subscribers of janeanson.com. It is aimed at lovers and collectors of Bordeaux’s finest wines who wish to deepen their knowledge and relationship with the region.
Your host, along with Jane Anson, will be Sarah Kemp. Sarah is recognised as one of the top experts in the wine industry, and a Bordeaux specialist. She was publisher and managing director of Decanter magazine for over a quarter of a century, leading the re-shaping of the company for the modern media age. She founded decanter.com, decanterchina.com, the Decanter World Wine Awards, and Europe and China’s premier wine event the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter and the Decanter Shanghai Fine Wine Encounter.
Sarah also presented the US TV series New American Cuisine and was nominated for a James Beard Award. More recently, she is the founder of The Wine Conversation podcast.
Thanks to Sarah’s and Jane’s rich networks, those participating in this experience will enjoy an unrivalled level of access.
We’re confident that this will be a magical experience for those who may have been unable to visit the region over the past few years or who want to discover it for the first time.
The week will be for just 12 wine lovers, and will give guests a deep understanding of the terroir and viticultural practices that makes Bordeaux the world’s premier wine region.
Guests will be visiting the very best estates and all visits will not only be guided by Sarah and Jane, but by the key people at each property. Among the highlights of the week are private visits and suppers at two Left Bank First Growths. All visits will be of a similar quality, and we are so excited to share them with you.
