Anwilka Stellenbosch 2013
Enticing nose, filled with fragrant fennel, aniseed, bay leaf, raspberry and liqourice root. Plenty of lift, with fine but plentiful tannins, still very much in the toasted spice family of flavours that I am finding in each Anwilka vintage, but here with an extra boost of freshness and restraint. 50% 400l new oak barrels and 50% one year old barrels.
