Château Bastor-Lamontagne Bordeaux Blanc Confidence de Bastor-Lamontagne 2024
Fresh and crisp on the opening notes, soft green apple, white mango, apricot and pear, with well-judged weight through the mid palate, unfussy and easy drinking. Maintains the signature style of the white wine of this estate, that delivers a gourmet touch without being heavy, helped by the high percentage of Sauvignon Gris. Ageing on fine lees with stirring, in 300l oak barrels, a touch of new oak. Bottling in June following vintage, so still on the lees during the En Primeur tasting. Tasted twice, the score here reflects the better (second) tasting.
