Château Clinet Pomerol 2007
An underestimated vintages (often with good reason) that is performing strongly right now if you select carefully. Clinet is without doubt one to look out for, with its focus on the floral aspects of Pomerol, plenty of curling edges of raspberry leaf, peony, with fresher acidity than the first few vintages in this vertical. Grilled campfire smoke as it opens, and this has a mouthwatering unfussy appeal, and is impressive. Ronan Laborde owner. 60% new oak.
