Château Suduiraut Bordeaux Blanc Château Suduiraut Pur Sémillon 2022

Great tasting this against the Griffons Blanc, as these are the oldest Sémillon vines of Suduiraut, mother plants of the massal selection vines for the new Pichon Baron wine. This is a structured and intense white, concentrated with plenty of grip and depth that runs right through the palate, and a focus on fennel, grilled cumin, white tea and textured pumice stone minerality rather than fruits. There is a supple flesh here, but it needs time to open and will benefit from a carafe. A gourmet style of white, clearly confident and successful.
