Intense colour, careful extraction, grilled cedar oak and bitter black chocolate. Lots of much-needed investment happening here, but it’s a tough vintage, with hail early in the season meant yield was very low, at 24.5hl/h 50% integral vinification and 50% new oak for ageing. Christophe Gouache, who also owns Château Bellerive, owner since 2022.
