Parusso Barolo DOCG Riserva Bussia Riserva “Oro” Vigna Munie 2014
This is a wine that is only made in the best quality vintages, and as it approaches 10 years you can see the ruby red colour startiing to soften to pink around the edges, and the tobacco and wild roses character accentuated on the aromatics. Sweet tobacco, grilled raspberry, ripe figs, liqourice, smoked spices, cloves, wild strawberries, this is a gorgeous wine full of gentle complexity. The flavours are melted and evolved, and this the perfect moment to crack open a bottle. Full of character, welcoming and built for sharing around a table. Aged in small oak barrels for 18 months, then long ageing in bottle before release. First time release, kept back until ready to drink – and it is, one to be savoured. 2ha estate, Marco Parusso winemaker.
