Bordeaux: the Right Bank Terroir

St-Emilion, Pomerol & neighbours

A beautiful large-format map of the châteaux and terroir of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, giclée printed on fine art paper.

Research commissioned for Inside Bordeaux lets us create this superb map of the Right Bank’s wine zones, headed by St-Emilion and Pomerol. Our enlarged map reveals how the heart of St-Emilion, its neighbours to north and east, and Fronsac to the west, are united by their limestone-based soils – here plotted with their châteaux locations for the first time. Pomerol and St-Emilion’s north-west are different: here, gravel and clay are key to wine character and quality – and our map clearly shows the very special (and very, very small) patch of heavy clay soil that underlies the vineyards of some of the most famous châteaux at the heart of Pomerol.

Our unframed maps are giclée printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper.
