Plum and damson fruits on the nose, high acidity, a little more pronounced than in sibling estates Puygueraud and La Prade, this has a touch of lime zest and lemongrass alongside the berry fruits – a reflection of more clay in the soils – but still a juicy signoff. Harvest 3 to 8 October. 30% new oak. Cabernet Franc from massale selection from St Emilion. This was in organic conversion, but they have stopped for the 2024 vintage.
