Château Ampélia Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux 2018

There are many excellent Castillons in the 2018 vintage, and this is one that is pretty much ready to go at three years old. Raspberry and blackberry fruits, with fresh acidities on the attack and a great sense of momentum. Saline finish, quality winemaking from François Despagne, also owner of Grand Corbin Despagne in St Emilion. The vines are located in Saint-Philippe d’Aiguilhe, one of the highest spots in Bordeaux at 110m altitude, farmed organically since 2010.
