Château Arnauld Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel 2021

A well made wine with careful extraction, good depth to the fruit, and steady progress through the palate. Misses some of the depth and exuberance that you find in vintages on either side of this one, but it is a solid performance from Arnauld, with good weight to the grilled black cherry and damson fruit, appealing rose-peal aromatics, and a slate-edge texture to the tannins. A one point upscore. 3.41ph. Harvest September 27 to October 6.
