Château Bonalgue Pomerol 2021

Black cherry and blackberry fruits, has good depth through the mid palate, touches of leafy and earthy aromatics showing the fingerprint of the vintage but overall good quality and easy to enjoy. Harvest September 21 to October 1, 40% new oak. 27hl/ha yield, classic Pomerol soils of sand, gravel, clay, and they left grass growing throughout the rows this year to increase competition and therefore water stress. All organic farming but not in official conversion like at sibling estates Clos du Clocher and Monregard.
