Château Bonalgue Pomerol 2024

Medium to full intensity inky plum colour, a little subdued on the aromatics at first, but the Cabernet Franc florals make their way out of the glass after a few moments. Good estate and appellation signature, the acidity isn’t aggressive or rustic but has salinity and juice, and good muscularity lending focus to the autumnal berry fruits. Harvest September 23 to October 7, 36hl/h yield, 40% new oak for ageing.
