Château Cantenac Brown Bordeaux Blanc Alto de Cantenac Brown 2021
Good intensity, with a lick of saline minerality. The Sauvigon Blanc comes out as intense summery grass and citrus peel, taut and steely then it widens out through the mid palate to give a creamy density to the fruit, and plenty of orange peel grip through the finish. Fermented and aged 90% in barrel with no new oak, 10% in stainless steel. First vintage of this wine was 2011, and it’s been an impressive addition to the Bordeaux Blanc stable ever since. From 1.8ha of vines located in Margaux-Cantenac. Tasted twice – this is a wine that I always try to have in my fridge.
