Château Chauvin St Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé 2019

Located on the Pomerol side of St Emilion, with clay dominant soils, this is well balanced, with rich seams of dark blackberry and bilberry fruits, with fragrant licks of peony and smoked oak. Enjoyable, well controlled. Tasted twice. There is twice as much Cabernet Franc as usual in the blend of this vintage. 60% new oak. Harvest September 26 to October 11.
