Château Clerc Milon Pauillac Pastourelle de Clerc Milon 2019

Cool blue fruits, not too exuberant at first, with touches of reduction, but as it opens you get a rich burst of bright ruby red fruits, black cherry and raspberry from the estate’s old Merlots on clay. Shows freshness and concentration, with a beautiful violet accent. No new oak, and no racking during ageing, keeping the focus on fruits and and aromatics. Harvest September 19 to October 9. As of the 2020 vintage, this wine is being sold En Primeur, but the 2019 has been offered only as a bottled wine.
