Château Coufran Haut-Médoc 2020

Merlot dominant, autumnal hedgerow, floral and ripe raspberry flavours, owned by the Miaihle since 1924 in the high quality village of St-Seurin-de-Cadourne. A little soft though the mid palate but this is a good unfussy and succulent old school claret. Impressive age to the vines here also, with an average of 60 years, on gravel, sand and clay soils. 25hl/ha yield. Coufran releases the wine when ready to drink after a few years ageing in bottle at the property.
