Château d’Arche Bordeaux Blanc A d’Arche 2021

Creamy white peach fruits through the mid palate, slate texture, impressive overall. As it opens you get honeysuckle flowers, citrus puree and edges of bitter almond on the finish. This is the first year for an unsual dry white that is made from partly botrytised berries, on the edge of noble rot. Parlty aged (30% of production) in barrels that were used for the Sauternes wine before, to reinforce the identity. Great stuff. 30hl/h yield. 20% new oak, for 6 months, some bitter edging.
