Still a little angular in its tannic structure but softens to show cassis and bilberry, tobacco and black chocoate, smoked earth. There is a gourmet attraction here, with a rich and creamy texture through the mid palate once it opens, and it feels at a great moment to drink. 50% new oak. Harvest September 25 to October 7.
