Château Haut-Bailly Pessac Léognan 2007
High Cabernet Sauvignon and the oak upped to around 60% new, higher than usual but well integrated at 17 years on. This is showing well right now, fully in the drinking window and extremely moreish, gentle fine tannins, elegant architecture, soft blackberry and blueberry fruits, velvety texture and a drawn out finish. Harvest September 21 to October 12. Denis Dubourdieu consultant.
