Located on the far eastern stretches of the region, in a cooler area, so this is not the fleshiest Cabernet Franc but it has lift, character, and gorgeous floral aromatics, with soft flicks of white pepper and peony flowers. Slate and pumice stone tannins through the finish. One to look out for, unusual and a fitting tribute to Yves Picant, the legendary owner who passed away in February 2024. He would have enjoyed its slightly serious classicism. His daughter Charlotte is the winemaker. No Lucullus produced this year because the estate was badly impacted by mildew meaning the blend of this main wine has no Merlot, and the Cabernet Franc from Lucullus has been used, giving it almost 90% Cabernet Franc. 1/3 in futs de 400L of one use, 1/3 of second use, 1/3 of third use barrels.
