Château La Fleur-Pétrus Pomerol 2024

Gently toasted cedar and sandalwood, violet, lilac, powdery rose, plush fruits, savoury in the spirit of the vintage but with texture and even generosity, and velvety tannins. A great job from La Fleur-Petrus, seriously impressive and one to look out for – my wine of the Moueix stable in 2024. 50% new oak. Harvest 17 to 28 September, no chaptilisation, around 20% down on yield from a usual year.
