Bright ruby red in colour, grilled cedar and vanilla bean on the nose, they have smoothed things out a little over ageing, but it remains on the slim side of ripe, with fresh acidities, mandarin and even a touch of ginger, a little short on the finish. A tough year for La Tour Figeac here, as they were impacted by frost bringing yields down to below 15hl/h. 40% new oak.
