Château Lafite Rothschild Pauillac Carruades de Lafite 2014

Medium to full intensity in colour. These were the years when Carruades was getting a whole lot of love, from the market and from the winemaking team, and this is an excellent quality wine, with balance and Pauillac typcity. Expect crayon and crushed rocks alongisde savoury and juicy cassis and bilberrt fruits, a deepening through mid-palate compared to the Carruades of the previous decade, now at a good moment to drink. It’s not exuberant, rather expect a slow-release trick, much as you often do with Lafite itself.
