Château Lavillotte St Estèphe 2014

An under-the-radar St Estephe, owned by Domaines Pedro, this is an enjoyable 2014 with plenty of appellation signature, ready to drink but still with heart, good plum fruit character, a little austere and tight in its tannins but with heart and life. Jucy finish. 30% new oak. 12ha, limestone and gravel, completely restored by current owner in the 1960s, had almost disappeared at the time.
