Château Margaux Bordeaux Blanc Pavillon Blanc 2022
Grip and tension, this is not quite at the switchback-acidity levels of 2021, but there is a beautifully lilting salinity here, citrus, mango and pear, soft waves of white pepper, touch of mint leaf, steely finish, a great quality white in the vintage. If you’d like a dash of history with your wine note, it was Bruno Prats who planted the white vines in 1970 as he was manager of Château Margaux at the time. Harvest August 18-23, 14hl/h yield, Philippe Bascaules director.
