Château Marquis de Terme Margaux 1855 4ième Cru 2005

Ruby centre, tawny pink on the edges, with smoked oak on the nose, along with attractive berry fruits. This could do with a few more years for the oak to fully integrate, and for now the espresso, coffee grounds, chocolate and amaretto biscuits give a slightly bitter finish, but you’ll also find plenty of black cherry and blueberry with enough density to carry it through while the oak softens further. Good with food if drinking now, will improve further over the next decade.
