Château Montrose St Estèphe Dame de Montrose 2016

Great depths of fruit, this is dominant Merlot in the blend but the character of the vintage is all about blackberry, cassis, graphite, tannins and firm, well defined tannins, and they dominate the palate – confident but already welcoming, this is a great 2nd wine, one of the standout successes of an exceptional year. The Petit Verdot went entirely into the Dame de Montrose in this vintage.
