Château Palmer Vin de France Vin Blanc de Palmer 2018
A wine that many people have heard about but very few tried, as only a few thousand bottles are produced every year. Powdered roses on the nose, followed by spiced citrus, white pear, slate minerality, and a wash of mouthwatering oyster shell and salted cracker. A blend of Muscadelle, Sauvignon Gris and Loiset (a rare southwest France variety sourced from Robert Plageoles’ vineyards in Gaillac), this is a stunning wine, so different from its Sauvignon-Blanc-led siblings in Bordeaux, and a bottle to savour.
