Château Pape Clément Pessac Léognan Cru Classé de Graves Château Pape Clément Blanc 2000

Bright sunflower yellow in colour, bitter orange peel and marmalade touches on the nose help give focus to the rich citrus and honeysuckle notes. The smoky character remains dominant even at 21 years old, along with saffron. On the nose you almost expect this to be a sweet wine, but on the palate it is dry with a slate texture. Has presence and is an impressive botttle but is a little more evolved than some Pessac Léognan whites from this vintage right now. 100% new oak. Yield 39hl/h.
