Château Phélan Ségur St Estèphe Frank Phélan 2024

Deep berry fruit, good structure, but there are some pretty tight tannins through the palate. This is well made, not generous, but with sappy fruits on the finish. Full deleafing at the end of August for the first time ever. 100% of the wine was vinified using their own yeast, 30hl/h yield, so used 50% of their tanks, 3.71 pH. Harvest 30 September to 14 October. Last year longest harvest ever (17 days), this year shortest (9 days). 10% press wine.
