This is medium plus intensity on the colour, a deep ruby. Owned by Audrey and Pierre Lauret. Kiss of grilled oak on the opening, with vanilla-coated black cherry notes, a slab of liquorice, shot of espresso, fairly high charged overall, although mint leaf on the finish brings lift. Everything feels a little abrupt – a shot of berry, a slab of chocolate, a kick of mint. Good quality but impacted by the vintage. 17ha of gravel and clay-limestone soils, harvest September 6 t 20, .
