Château Plain-Point Fronsac 2019
Briliant texture, supple but tight, with limestone-scrape salinity, still a touch austere on the finish. Love the fennel and orange peel bitterness alongside the unfussy and generous blackberry and damson fruits. This has complexity along with a sense of ease. A great indication that the newly-enlarged Plain-Point can deliver this level of quality – and excellent value for a wine that delivers such plaesure. 33% new oak, 3.4ph. Hubert de Boüard consultant, 33% new oak.
