Château Rochebelle St Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé 2011
A return to a more classic feel after the power of 2010 – the focus here is on sculpted and fresh blueberry and raspberry fruits, with austere chalky tannins that hold everything in place. Pencil lead and white truffle as it opens, with a gently smoky edge, all well-balanced and elegant. Not generous but full of understated pleasures and estate signature. 70% new oak.
