Château Siran Margaux 2015
High Merlot than usual in this vintage, giving deliciously plump and silky raspbery and loganberry fruit, silky tannins with a shot of crushed mint leaf and spiced pepper to lift things up through the palate. A little short on the finish, this has an unfussy approachability and an emphasis on the floral side of Margaux. Hubert de Bouard consultant since 2014. Harvest September 17 to October 12, 35% new oak.
