This does a great job of showcasing why it is worth waiting for Troplong, a wine that can be so powerful when young that you can imagine it will never come round. This is tapered, melted, thoroughly charming, smoked earth, maybe a finger of Brett but balanced by gorgeous autumnal fruits, tea, crayon, dried mint, cranberry, lavender.
