I’ve tasted this a number of times over the past few months, and it never fails to impress. Yes, it’s still young, and you can easily leave it longer, but with a good hour or so in a carafe this is pure drinking pleasure. The fruits are heading towards apricot, fleshy ripe pear and peach pit, reflective of the warm summer, but they are balanced by a slate texture and mouthwatering saline minerality on the finish. 50% new oak. Harvest August 24 to September 17, 28hl/h yield.
