Clos Saint Martin Saint Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé 2011

Toasted cedar oak is evident but softened by a truffled, smoky edge, making this less austere than many 2011s right now. Great tannic hold at 10 years old, softens a little through the mid palate but the pace is kept lively by white pepper and clove spices that fill out the raspberry and blackberry fruits. 100% integral vinificaton in new oak barrels.
