Dourthe No 1 Bordeaux 2022

Smooth almost non existent tannins, plenty of ripe red fruits, touch of fennel bitterness on the finish, this is well judged and unfussy, good early drinking choice. 50% new oak barrels for ageing (and apparently the only branded wine in Bordeaux that continues to use barrels for ageing rather than staves).
