Familia Torres Penedès Mas La Plana 2011

I hava had a few vintages of this exceptional wine in 2022, and nearly went with the brillant 2017, but decided that the 2011 is at the best moment for drinking now<; It delivers so much of what i love about Mas la Plana, with its savoury plum and cassis fruits, finessed tannins and spiced eucalyptus, mint leaf and liqourice complexity. Vines planted by Miguel Torres in the 1970s are now expressing full complexity. 85% new oak.
