This is very much a Super Tuscan in that it is dominant Cabernet Sauvignon, and yet offers its own expression of Cabernet, less capsicum and slate than in Bordeaux, still with the linearity that this grape is so good at producing. Great quality, confident and enticing structure, integrated tannins, dark fruits, cocoa bean, tar and underbrush spice rolling in through the mid palate. Fermentation in concrete tanks then 24 months in 100% new oak barrels for ageing.
