A slab of liquorice, nutmeg, powerful and concentrated sweet black cherry wine with plenty of tannic grip, slightly spiky acidity. Knitted down, more so than during En Primeur, clearly ambitious, white pepper spice studding the palate, 20% new oak. Earliest harvest since 1989, from September 16 to 27. Heavy bottle.
