It must have been a challenge to keep the vines functioning at this kind of density (20,000v/ha) in such a hot dry vintage, even if the bunches will have been well shaded, and the fruit character here is fully ripe, figs and baked plums. Hugely intense in character, sweet damson puree and pomegrante, with an appealing slate character to the tannins, and spiky acidity.
