Château La Fleur Lauga St Julien 2022

Christian and Charles Brun are the owners of this tiny estate (0.9ha) that is making delicious if hard-to-find St Julien. Inky damson colour, it’s serious in this vintage, with a backbone and high acidity that is matched pace for pace by the black fruits, cassis bilberry crushed rocks, and the austere, textural minerality that is so welcome in the heat of 2022.
