The depth and structure of Sémillon works well in the 2022 vintage, touches of wax and honeysuckle, a ton of ripe citrus, preserved lemon, white pepper and liqourice root, fermented and aged in barrels for 9 months, on fine lees with regular stirring, no malo and new oak. First time for me tasting the 2022 white (I have tasted and reviewed the 2023 on the site already, but this was not released through En Primeur, with only 844 bottles sold at the estate). Grown in cooler sections of the Pauillac vineyard, from massal selection vines where the mother plants are at Suduiraut in Sauternes; home of quality Sémillon.
