Sandalwood, orange peel, spiced raspberry fruits, with balasamic character alongside creamy smoked caramel and pomegranate, this is a fascinating example of a well aged Vinedo Chadwick from a warm vintage. Ripe, welcoming tannins, this is rich and powerful, with the black pepper and turmeric spice that is very much a signature of Maipo. Extremely different in character from a 15 year old European Cabernet, full of generous Maipo signature, and this is reaching its plateau for drinking, although there is still tension in the wine and it is at a lovely moment to open and share. 95% new oak.
