Vinedo Chadwick Puente Alto 2011

A fresher, cooler vintage, meaning longer ripening, and here the fruit register has turned darker, more linear and concentrated, with mint leaf, juicy cassis and blackberry fruits, edge of balsamic, soy and tar set against a mouthwatering set of mandarin, orange zest and lemongrass. A delicious wine that reflects a more sculpted, serious feel of Vinedo Chadwick, at a great moment to begin drinking but with many years ahead, showcasing why this is such a prized wine in the Chilean landscape. 77% new oak, so a drop from the previous levels. Francisco Baettig winemaker since the inaugural vintage in 1999, Edouardo Chadwick owner.
